New mental health masterclasses announced! Today I want to tell you about three new mental health masterclasses I'm offering: one masterclass on handling anger, aggression and rage in bipolar disorder, one on hard mental health conversations and one on how to treat treatment-resistant depression in bipolar disorder. These masterclasses are being offered over the next three weeks, starting this Wednesday!

Note that while these masterclasses are all part of the Get Real series and numbered, you do not need to take them in order. They are designed as standalone masterclasses.

Masterclass on Handling Anger, Aggression and Rage in Bipolar Disorder

As part of my Get Real series of masterclasses, this one is Get Real 8: Handling Anger, Aggression and Rage in Bipolar Disorder. Expect lots of information on the link between bipolar disorder and anger and tips on how to handle anger, aggression and rage in bipolar disorder.

Get Real 8: Handling Anger, Aggression and Rage in Bipolar Disorder is on Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. PT (1:00 p.m. ET) (convert to your time zone here).

Masterclass on Having Difficult Mental Health Conversations.

This masterclass is Get Real 9: How to Have Difficult Mental Health Conversations. This one is being offered because multiple people requested it as a topic. I know that it can be hard to talk about mental illness and other mental health issues and this masterclass is designed to help. You can expect information on the different kinds of mental health conversations you're likely to have and how to have these conversations both from the perspective of a person with a mental illness and from the perspective of a person without a mental illness (a loved one).

Get Real 9: How to Have Difficult Mental Health Conversations is on Thursday, October 1st at 11: 00 a.m. PT (2:00 p.m. ET) (convert to your time zone here).

Masterclass on How to Treat Treatment-Resistant Depression in Bipolar Disorder

This masterclass is called: Get Real 10: How to Treat Treatment-Resistant Depression in Bipolar Disorder. Over the last two+ decades I have found that while bipolar medication does a good job at handling the ups of hypomania and mania, it does not do nearly as good a job at handling the depressions. There are lots of ways I think we can improve this, and one of the ways is education. For this masterclass, you can expect information on treatment-resistant depression in bipolar disorder and discussion of an algorithm on how to treat this type of depression, including ways to treat it when frontline treatments aren't working.

Get Real 10: How to Treat Treatment-Resistant Depression in Bipolar Disorder is on Wednesday, October 7st at 11: 00 a.m. PT (2:00 p.m. ET) (convert to your time zone here).

How Are the Mental Health Masterclasses Going?

As you can tell by the numbering, that is now 10 masterclasses I have offered. Some of the masterclasses have been more popular than others, but overall, I would call it a success. You can look forward to more offerings of the previous masterclasses as well is new topics.
